No Introduction

Well you can come through here
But you can't stay here
And you can move here
But you can't lay here
And you could go far here
But you can't be here
And if you are here
I've got to say see here

No History

Her mama was a movie star
She got paid to say "Give it to me hard"
It took me a grip to determine it
That apple don't fall far with a worm in it

The girl's gotta have no history
No guilty filthy

I was twice quite viral with the sword intact
She had a nice tight spiral like a quarterback
I said please baby please let me run that show
That's two bodies down and one to go

[repeat chorus]

You keep saying I'm the one with the dangerous crush
But when you say it try and tell me that you don't blush
You come to me, I've come so far
But I can't get back to where you are

[repeat chorus]

No Niche

I'd say you look the best
But you know it so who cares
You shook your chest
You made the effort but the feeling wasn't there

You were the one I held so high
You're everything to everyone, what would that imply?

I'm looking for the one who's got no face
I'm looking for the one who's got no place
I'm looking for the one who's got no leash
I'm looking for the one who's got no niche

Masquerading is a full time job
Masquerading is a full time job
Masturbating is a full time job
After shaving it's a full time job when you're part of that mob

And I pace around
And I tell myself that you're way out of my league
I'd chase you down, make you mine if I had the time
If I wasn't so fatigued

You were the one I held so high
You drank a tall glass of milk that was built to spill
(You said you heard it all)
But you didn't even wanna ask the guy

[repeat chorus]

No Soul

I'm dignified, articulate
But I'm on the chop block
The thing inside our picturesque
Moment on the shot clock
Is killing me, is killing us
But it's all a part of the
Negotiation with the devil inside
The tall dark handsome respectable guide

The problem when you're playing dumb
Nobody believes you
The catch is in, the play is done
But the down is under review
It's killing me, it's killing us
But it's all a part of the
Interrogation of intelligent minds
By a space race nation leaving nothing to find

At intermission I was lost in an Austin hospital
With a politician, a Texas extradite from Connecticut
In opposition that the cost to emboss is impossible
Next to a sexist confederate

And I am made of blood and metal
But I can make a better change
I am made of blood and metal
By becoming more the same

It ain't fun when the highs get lower

No Parking

Part of the problem that I've been having
Is I'm so aware of the normal standards
That when I try to do something different
I do so actively, I seek it out
And that just helps promote the idea
That things that seem normal are natural

Part of the problem that I've been having
Is I encourage people to act on impulses
But I don't factor in advertising
Or the chemical addictions that impact these urges
So then I spend too much time smoking cigarettes
And playing with myself

Part of the problem that I've been having
Is I think that I'm super important
And I can't seem to control my ego
Even though I'm acutely aware
That my Oscars and my Grammys
Won't mean shit to me when I'm dead

Part of the problem that I've been having
Is I only want the girls that don't want me
And the ones that do I neglect and mistreat 'em
Then I miss 'em when they're gone and I get nostalgic
Even though I know I wasn't happy just cause they were around

Part of the problem that I've been having
Is I don't believe in compromise
Though I understand the benefits of it
Getting what I want gives me a sense of purpose
And If I don't believe in compromise
Then why would I compromise my beliefs?

Part of the problem that I've been having
Is I can't decide if the meaning of life
Is to get something accomplished before you die
Or just enjoy every minute while you're still alive
And how much of my conclusion will be based off of pride or shame?

Part of the problem that I've been having
Is I don't want to fit into a demographic
But there's a demographic for people like me
We're called outsiders and we like to think we're free thinkers
The more of us I meet the more I feel like
We're the most predictable demographic of all

You don't have to have a dirty mind to get your brain washed

Well you can come through here
But you can't stay here
And you can move here
But you can't lay here
And you could go far here
But you can't be here
And if you are here
I've got to say see here

No Win

As I ride the bus to that coffee shop
With the college kids who found a way to earn a lot
Oh I can't decide if I'm going there to find
A soulmate, a running mate or stir the pot

I'm quick to condescend if I think that you're a joke
Polite felt so unnatural the last time that we spoke
All these rockers lead the lives that you get for the right price
If I could just put down this instrument and go pick up a Coke
(Endorsement)

As I write this song, on a personal note
I might not drop the drawbridge but at least I'll drain the moat
And I feel the need to say I spend my day
Split between giving you my sympathy and getting me your vote

I hope you're prepared to fight, because the world is ending soon
I know that you're scared you might need that mirror in that room

But how could I forgive myself?
And how could buy forgive my sell?

I've got pride and prejudice
It's not one in the other
I got tried and bled for this
I'm not runnin' for governor, I'm runnin' for cover
